About Conrad

Conrad Lee, Mayor of Bellevue, has served as an elected member of the Bellevue City Council since 1994, one of the few Chinese-Americans in elected politics. Born in China, Conrad lost his father at age 8. He moved with his mother and sister to Hong Kong at age ten and lived there through high school.

Conrad came to the U.S. to attend Seattle Pacific College and later received his degree from University of Michigan in electrical engineering. While working for Boeing, he received his MBA from the University of Washington. He also worked as a stockbroker and for the City of Seattle as a project manager for Seattle Solid Waste Utility. Conrad is also a long-time small business owner in real estate management.

Conrad was first elected to Bellevue City Council in 1994 and has since been re-elected six times.  Conrad was elected Deputy Mayor in January 2010 and most recently Mayor in 2012.

Conrad has been married to Winnie since 1966. His two children, Chris and Jennifer, graduated from Bellevue public schools. He is the proud grandfather of Lillian, Courtney, and Olivia.
