Hi, I'm Conrad Lee
WHERE I COME FROM
Born in China, I grew up in Hong Kong and lived there through high school. I came to the U.S. to attend Seattle Pacific College and later received my degree from University of Michigan in electrical engineering. While working for Boeing, I received my MBA from the University of Washington. I also worked as a stockbroker and for the City of Seattle as a project manager for Seattle Solid Waste Utility. My wife Winnie and I have lived in Bellevue since 1967. We live in the Somerset neighborhood, where we raised our two children.
A THRIVING CAREER
I was first elected to Bellevue City Council in 1994 and have since been re-elected 8 times. I was elected Deputy Mayor in 2010 and Mayor in 2012. I am Bellevue's first minority member of the City Council, the longest continuous serving member of the council and the first mayor of Asian ancestry.
I represent Bellevue on the Cascade Water Alliance Board and King County Regional Water Quality Committee, as well as the Greater Seattle Partners Executive Council and Puget Sound Regional Council Economic Development Board. I am council liaison to the Environmental Services Commission and Youth Link Board. I also serves on the Association of Washington Cities Federal Relations Committee and National League of Cities Advisory Council.
I am Honored as the Best Elected Official in 2021 Best of Bellevue by the Bellevue Reporter.

I act carefully and thoughtfully by listening to you as your representative resulting in a great city Bellevue is today. I'm the most trustworthy vote on the Council for public safety, lowering taxes, cutting wasteful spending, and providing real sustainable solutions in housing, transportation, and quality of life.

Bellevue is recovering well from the COVID-19 pandemic. With sound financial management, we have increased funding for public safety to keep the city safe and maintaining essential services and investments without increasing the property tax rate. Our public schools are ranked the best. With a multicultural, diverse, and engaged population, global talents, vibrant businesses, and excellent quality of life, Bellevue is poised for the future!
