Where Youth Voices Lead

I had a wonderful time joining Chinese Radio Seattle Youth for an interview and thoughtful discussion. It was such an energizing experience to hear directly from young people who are already so engaged with their communities and curious about the world around them. Their questions were insightful and honest, ranging from public service to personal motivation, and reminded me just how important it is to keep listening to and learning from the next generation.

What stood out most was their passion: a genuine desire to understand how local government works, how change happens, and how their voices can shape the future. Moments like these always leave me inspired and hopeful. Our youth are not just tomorrow’s leaders, they’re already leading in their own ways today!

I’m deeply grateful to the Chinese Radio Seattle Youth team for the invitation and the warm welcome. Conversations like these are exactly why I continue this work and why I’m running for re-election—to keep building bridges, fostering dialogue, and creating opportunities for young voices to be heard.
